Welcome to Go Christian Academy

“GCA exists to bring glory to God as we love our students well by educating them Biblically and academically into becoming equipped disciples of Jesus Christ.”

Our Mission

Go Christian Academy is a private, Christian school and ministry of First Baptist Church Douglasville, offering classes from one year old through 8th grade. Our quality educational program encourages critical thinking, problem solving, creative and divergent thinking, and language skills, with artistic and cultural experiences to further the development of the child. Our students will know they are created uniquely and specially in the image of God.

We want to teach your children well and love them even better.
Six Distinctives

What sets a GCA education apart.

Six convictions that shape every classroom, chapel, and corridor on our campus.

I.

Christian education and ministry

A school built into the life of a local church, not bolted on. Faith is not an elective; it is the air in the room.

II.

A complete, Christ-centered curriculum

The trusted ABEKA curriculum paired with WEE Learn and Hands-On Math, with strong academics built on a biblical foundation.

III.

Scripture, woven throughout

Daily Bible and prayer, with memorization and Christian character that travel with a child for life.

IV.

A small school, by design

Children known by name from one year old through the eighth grade, by their teachers and by one another.

V.

Specials every single week

Spanish, Music, Art, Physical Education, and library with the Accelerated Reader program, a wider curriculum for the whole child.

VI.

Field trips that fit the lesson

Two off-campus field trips each year for our elementary classes, learning that reaches beyond the classroom.
